Nestling on the private Glasfryn Estate on the Llyn Peninsula, Garden Cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens, woodlands and lakes and you can't help but feel that you have got away from it all in our charming "Hansel and Gretel" detached home. With beamed ceilings, a log fire, rugs and comfortable sofas, this is a truly outstanding cottage set within a huge kitchen garden on one side and private woodlands to the other. Garden Cottage is ideal for couples but can easily sleep up to 6 guests comfortably.
The large sitting room with its original terracotta tiled floor is furnished in a pretty cottage style and has a wood burning stove with our own logs supplied free of charge. The brand new galley style kitchen has all modern conveniences including a Neff Oven and hob, integrated dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave etc. The downstairs bedroom with twin beds which zip together to make a king, has an en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle, sink and loo and underfloor heating.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a pretty French upholstered bed and looks across a large herbaceous flowerbed. The twin bedroom has views of the mature beech trees, carpeted with bluebells in the Spring. The upstairs bathroom has a lovely cast iron bath and original tiles. We offer good wifi.
You have your own hidden cottage garden to enjoy which is packed with wildflowers and surrounded by clipped beech hedges. Walk directly into our woodlands and explore to your heart's content. The large lawns are ideal for football, badminton and sunbathing and the picnic table is perfect for lazy breakfasts.
Glasfryn Estate is the perfect bolt hole and our aim is that you leave the hustle and bustle of daily life behind you. Our natural lake teems with birds and wildlife for the private enjoyment of our guests.
We are ideally located for Abersoch, Aberdaron, Criccieth, Llanbedrog, Nefyn, Pwllheli, Porthdinllaen and Porthmadog. The 84 mile Llyn Coastal Path is on the doorstep. Glasfryn is the perfect base to explore the very best that this glorious area of outstanding beauty has to offer – Snowdonia National Park, Ffestiniog Railway, Welsh Highland Railway and the Italiante village of Portmeirion (which was designed by Clough Williams-Ellis - one of our forebears) Castles at Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Criccieth....and the Beaches....Black Rock Sands, Porth Oer Beach (Whistling sands), Llanbedrog, Abersoch and Criccieth, just to name a few. If you don’t want to venture too far, you can fish in the Wakeboarding lake at a small charge, or wander through the woodlands to your heart’s content.
We are happy to accept a well behaved dog free of charge.
