Manna is a much loved, delightful 19th Century 4 Bedroom Farmhouse which sleeps 8 and has been lovingly restored by it's Greek/Irish sculptor, to retain many of its original features. Set among 5 acres of Mediterranean pine trees and olive groves, this pale cream house with green shutters is one of Syros’ hidden treasures. Only a 15 minute drive to Ermopouli or the beach, with its treasure trove of antique furniture, original tiled floors, thick stone walls and hidden courtyards, this is the perfect retreat.
The private and secluded gardens extend over 5 acres with pine, olive and lemon trees. The larger courtyard with oleander bushes and bamboo ceiling has a huge marble dining table for al-fresco dining with views across the gardens. There are other seating areas hidden among the gardens where you can snooze with a book. The plunge pool is hidden among the Mediterranean pines which provide shade in the summer. Being waist high, the pool is perfect for a dip in the afternoon having spent the day at the beach or exploring the area. Net, our English speaking gardener, who will meet you at the ferry or airport, is always on hand to recommend places to visit or to just have a chat. He is a mine of local information and is on hand should you need anything during your holiday.
